Marion Turns 17

Just a quick post, since I need to go to bed early tonight.

Today, we celebrated Marion's 17th birthday. I can't believe time is flying so fast. Would you believe he is even taller than Dad now. He stands 6'2".

Marion,
Please don't grow up.. :-)

Meet My Baby

Stumbled upon this site --- http://makemebabies.com/

MakeMeBabies is using advanced face detection technology to predict what your baby will look like by uploading your photo and of someone else's. It could be a photo of your boyfriend/girlfriend, husband/wife, or a celebrity crush. ;) Yes, you read it right. Now, I know what you're thinking. Finally, your "chance" to make a baby with the man of your dreams or woman in your dreams.

Since no one was watching, I tried it myself...In my case, I uploaded a decent photo of mine and a photo of someone from the past. Here's the result... A very beautiful baby girl. :) Let us call her Jamila which means beautiful..

Try it for yourself. It's fun!! Lemme know what you think.

Wondering,

Nori

Happy Tuesday!

How is everyone? :)
Just got home from the mall with Mom and my Aunt.

***wait... need to take a sip on my McFloat.. yum!****

So as I was saying, I was at SM last time. Had my facial at Skin Perfect to kill time. Mind you, the therapist thought I was only 21. Haha! She got a generous tip from me.. Not for that reason but because she was nice and she was really good. I so love it when people are nice and friendly. It gives me a good feeling.:) She asked me many things about life abroad. I happily answered everything she wanted to know. Now my nose is so red... Hahaha...

I saw this headband at Pink Box and decided to buy it together with some Sanrio bonds for only 100Php.

Went to the Department store and bought some stuff. I wanted to buy other things, but there were a lot of people in the mall so I decided to just come back some other time. Also, Ineed to make a list because most of the time, I forget to buy things I need and always end up buying stuff I don't really need at all.

At the House of Worship shop, I bought a Hillsong CD "United: Part One of Hillsong's Global Worship and Justice Project: The Heart Revolution" for 600Php. Consists of 2 CDs with 30 songs all in all.. Can't wait to show it to my brother a bit later... Bo Sanchez has a new book by the way. But maybe I'll just buy it once I finish reading the book gorgeous bestfriend Anj gave me. Speaking of books, I don't know where are the rest of my inspirational and self-help books. Why do some people don't return borrowed stuff from their friends?:( Just curious..

These are the cute key chains I purchased from Praise of Worship shop last time for 25Php and 35Php respectively:

Oooops got to bounce now... Time for dinner..

Marina: Two Thumbs Down!

After the concert, the gang and I were supposed to go to MOA, but traffic was heavy so we just headed our way along CCP Complex to have our late Dinner. I swear, I was so hungry then. I left the house around 2PM, and the concert finished at 9PM. You bet, way too hungry that I ended up following a Land Cruiser instead of a Pajero ... And surely Avick and Ruthie were as hungry as I was because they did not notice it wasn't Carll's vehicle anymore... Thanks to Anj for being alert, or else....

There were other restos inside the compound, but I had to admit that we were lazy to walk around that time. Ended up spoiling the night at Marina Resto, since it was the nearest resto from the parking area.

Marina so far holds the Worst Customer Service Award in my list.
I am not exaggerating. But I've never been that upset and disappointed with regards to the service of a restaurant.

Why was I so upset??
First and foremost, I was very hungry... When we entered the resto, no one was there to greet or assist us and to guide us where to sit, etc.. Okay, that's fine! Not really a biggie. But waiting for 15-20 minutes before getting our order was something else. And another half an hour before we got our Calamares, Sisig, Sinigang Na Hipon was too much suffering.

We were almost done eating Calamares when they served that so-called unlimited rice. And there were no more Calamares on the plate when they gave us the sauce.

There was no egg on the Sisig nor a kalamansi, so it looked so pale. They are charging a lot for an uberly bad service. Unbelievable!!!!!

Quoting Ruthie, foods are just so-so (Read:Neither very good nor very bad; only fair.) eating here is definitely not worth your money.

Anj was right, we felt so unhappy and unfulfilled after eating. That's not all folks, another years of waiting when we asked for our bill. When it finally arrived, no one was coming to get our payment. Carll even had to go to the counter to pay it. Damn... May I just add, that the Wash Room was not clean.. No tissues to be found there either. What was that??

To our dismay, we all decided to pay the exact amount and did not bother to leave any tip for a service that really sucks.
I got to agree with Avick -- TWO THUMBS DOWN!!

Not Coming Back Ever Again,

Nori & Friends

Christmas Shines!

I together with Angela, Avick and Carll attended UP Manila Chorale's "Christmas Shines"--- an evening of Yuletide Melodies for the benefit of the children of PGH Pediatric Ward last Saturday, December 5 at the Philam Life Auditorium in UN Avenue.

FYI: Ruthie was part of the chorale and we all know we were like her fans...

Attention: To the rest of her fans, please be informed that this would be her last concert since she is leaving for UK before December ends..

Tweeeeets

Today, I woke up with a smile on my face... Because I got a direct message from Ms. Miriam Quiambao. Winks...

Why I am making a big deal out of it? Ha-ha.. I am a fan.. C'mon... For my non-Filipino friends/visitors, Ms. Miriam Quiambao once carried the Filipino flag with beauty, wit and poise. She was crowned 1999 Ms. Universe First Runner Up. Aside from that, she is also an award winning TV Host and an Endorser.

Until now,I am still surprised that a busy celebrity like her takes time to send thank you notes to her fans/followers...What a sweetheart!! Other celebrities are just nice on TV, but when you see them in person, they are not actually that nice. You know what I mean? But with Ms. Q, I am pretty sure she is even nicer...

Saluting her Filipina beauty and kindness,
Nori on Cloud 9

Wires On My Teeth

Last Saturday, I visited my dentist, for cleaning and some adjustment on my braces.
Two of my brackets were removed also so she had to fix it. Yes, I am guilty of chewing gums and eating popcorn... Those were the major culprits by the way.

I've known Dra. Carandang since I was a child, so I am very much comfortable sharing stories about life abroad, etc. That's why I always look forward to seeing her. Seeing her means a three-hour travel, though. That's the sad part..

I asked her when she could possibly remove my braces. As you know, I've been gone for 8 months for Qatar. She said, she still has to check the spaces of my teeth on my next check-up. But most probably, it would be removed in less than six months... Wow!!! I could not help but smile. Talks about being excited. And for that reason, I believe I will be obliged to stay in the country.

....In less than six months, I will be smiling with no wires on my teeth. :D

For those of you who are a little curious, I use these in taking care of my braces:

1. Oral-B Ortho Brush - As you know, it is difficult to clean around braces with standard toothbrushes. So this one is designed for braces because it features "V" shaped bristles to remove plaque around wires, braces, and teeth.

2. Oral-B Interdental Brush - It is used to clean plaque and food debris between your teeth. The brushes have small, bristled heads available in different widths to match the sizes of the gaps of your teeth.

3. Flossette - It's easier to use than any regualar dental floss. It conveniently removes the food and plaque toothbrushing can miss. (Any brand would do for flossettes..)

There you go....

Kisses,
Daintypinay

I'm Back!!

Mabuhay!:)

I am back in the Philippines in case you still don't know, after being gone for eight long months. Friends, my phone got busted and I lost my old sim card in the desert of Middle East.So please forgive me if you are not getting any call or text message from me yet. Still in the process of collecting your numbers:)

Yesterday, I woke up very very late because I am still adjusting with the time difference between Qatar and Philippines. Blame me and my alarm clock for waking up very late. I got to leave the house at around 3:30PM. Okay fine, meeting time was set at 2PM.

Reached Sta Ana (to pick up Avick) at around 7PM. Yes, that is how far my house is. And definitely that's how terrible traffic was.

Anyways, to cut the long story short, Ruthie, Avick and I reached Metrowalk around 8:20PM. We were already in the parking area when Ivy left.

I was so sad and disappointed that I was not able to see her. Really! Ivy is nine-months pregnant by the way.

HIGHLIGHTS FOR THE NIGHT:

Let me introduce to you the wonderful ladies who made my night....
With the many restaurants to choose from in Metrowalk, we followed the recommendation of Ythin to have our dinner at Steak House.
Well, the food was good, price was just right and the service was not bad.

Try not to miss these 2 guys if you're in the area... :)
Why? See for yourself..

Next Stop: KTV
I believe, part of being a true-blooded Pinoy is the love for music... Actually, we were choosing between Chicago and Music Platinum, but we chose the latter because they offer a better package. In addition to that, room is cozy, price is reasonable, sound system is good, and the selection of songs are updated. But then again, it's not about the place, it is all about the "company"...

After singing our hearts out while dancing for three hours, we felt like our bodies and minds need some caffeine rush. Unfortunately, Starbucks in Metrowalk was too crowded. We decided to go to another Starbucks along Emerald Ave,but it was closed already. Frustrated and a little sleepy after a joy ride along Ortigas, we ended up having our coffees in...... (guess where else?)--->
Mcdo Mc Cafe...
Conversation of the night...
I really just want to insert this.

The rest of us just talked about random things, while reminiscing the fun memories in college. We definitely missed each other... I will forever be blessed that I got to meet these chikas... You know the feeling that you just want to stop the time so you could share more stories and hear their stories as well.... And basically spend more time of laughters... That was exactly my feeling...

Sadly, my dear bestfriend Ruthie could not stay any longer, since she has a Concert at 3PM. Yes guys, Rooch has a golden voice and because of this talent and gift, it took her to different places...Proud bestfriend!!! Segway lang,huh.. In other words, I wanted to thank her for this gift... Merci!!!Sure, I will take this with me on my next destination.... But for now, let me review my French Books first.

Going back to my story, I had to drop her home to Bacoor. Drove all the way again to Roxas Boulevard with Avick, Ythin and her bf Ron (less Marge and Abby) to watch the sunrise and have my Mocha Java Chips and Tuna Pandesal at Starbucks.

I had a great time guys, till next time? Truly, friends are gift from God. So treasure your friends. Spend much time with them... It's not easy to find real ones...

Love you all,
Nhet

P.S.
Ythin introduced her bf to us.We are so happy for her.
Ron, you are a nice guy. You have our votes.
Please take care of our Tintin...
