Star, Sheaths and Me...

(I never got to use  this photo...
Lols)
If you're one of  those who is an aspiring flight attendant - you have probably heard of the name "Star" from different forums on the internet. A lot of bloggers have featured her already. She helps these aspirants with tips on how to be a flight attendant and helps them with their concerns. I have been following her Multiply page for more than a year as well as her Blog. If at one point in my life, I considered applying as a flight attendant, it was all because of her.. Her stories inspired me. She has traveled to many countries, has experienced different cultures and has met people from different races. And may I add, she has a face of an angel...She's not the typical flight attendant I would see whenever I'm on board... She really is very beautiful. With her flawless skin, I would not be surprised if she would be mistaken as an actress/model...

So as I was saying, I was a follower of her and yes maybe you can call me a "fan"...  She is based in Qatar and as some of you  know, I worked and lived there last year. I was really hoping I'll get to bump into her... But that didn't happen... I never knew she was also reading this blog... haha... I made this blog as an online journal for my friends to keep them updated of my whereabouts since they would often complain where to find me.    and as an outlet for me.  I am not a good writer.. I even have to proofread an entry over and over again... Whattta struggle! :P So knowing someone visits and reads  my page is overwhelming..

I don't want to bore you with my long story on how we became friends  ... But Star and I became instant friends right away. Yes, for those who are curious, she's more beautiful in person. Her smile is very genuine. She is down-to-earth, true true to herself, funny and so cool to be with.

Star invited me to doll her up for Sheaths Couture Photoshoot. The photoshoot took place last June 30, 2010. It was also the Inauguration Day of PNoy (but who cares?). Here are some of the behind-the-scenes-photos I took...

FYI: No, I did not try to attend any assessment. I was just curious about the lives of FAs...
And I thought I wanted to be one... :)

Thank you STAR!
Continue to Inspire!!!

Friends from the Gulf

Yes, you may have many friends in the Philippines but you only get to see most of them once in a blue moon.. While in abroad, you may have a few but you get to see them almost everyday, every night, once a week...Oh well, busy lives..... Complicated schedules...

our last photo together from the office...
Anyways, I was so glad to see Grace and Mengvi again after seven long months of not seeing them. They were my former colleagues and friends at work back in Middle East. How time flies.. It was only like yesterday that we would see each other everyday, have lunch together, etc.

Mengvi was here for her Annual Leave. So Grace and I took time to visit her in her place and have a girl bonding. It was also Meng's son's birthday.

Grace and I were late for the party because Grace had to go to Antipolo that morning.

After the party, we decided to go to Tagaytay and have some cup of coffee and spend more time together...

Meng and I gave lots of love advice to Grace and I ended up with this conclusion....
Ah-huh? Would someone be kind enough to translate this in English, please.. :)

Although it was getting late already, they still obviously wanted to stay. So we tried to find a place where we could jam. And we found a cozy comedy bar named Kontiki. I've been in this area many times but it was really my first time there. Not too crowded, just right!
Us, three enjoying the great company of each other while jamming to our favorite songs..
They looked so tipsy. I just had my iced tea and water... yeah!

Grace and I decided to sleep at Meng's house. Guess, I only had an hour of sleep.
I surely missed Grace. We talked about lots of things. Reminisced the good and the bad times. Laughed at our crazy adventures and secrets....
I never kept a secret from Grace. She knows everything... She was like my sister...

Meng, and Gracia,
Thank you for everything~~~ILOVEYOU BOTH~

Majayjay Falls & the Niknik Bites

Hello! How are you guys? I've been gone for so long.. Been a little busy being lazy for the past few weeks. I was not also in the mood to blog because of the gloomy weather.. Ohhh shocks, do you also hate it when it rains? I do... :)

enjoy lang guys!
So we went to Majayjay Falls last June 7, 2010, together with some peeps from our subdivision. The place is located at Barangay Gagalot, Majayjay, Laguna. The place was pretty nice (though  not that amazing as compared from the other falls I've seen before)..The water that flows from Mt. Banahaw through the mountain's lush is very clear and of course very cold.. We were told by the caretaker that the place is normally crowded during weekends.
clear flowing water
freezing cold :)
tempted to swim (?)....WATCH OUT!

Happy Me and my younger brother before I was bitten by the "niknik"

-The Suffering-

I SHOULD HAVE NOT FORGOTTEN  that there are many insects abound in this kind of place... I should have been a little careful and should have brought my insect repellant lotion..

Guess what? I was bitten by these insects known as "niknik". While I was swimming, I didn't notice any insect bites. But after swimming, my legs started to itch (the itchiness was undescribable). When we reached home, I noticed there were a lot of bites and it was getting redder and bumpier. Very itchy rashes that I could not help but scratch it... The rashes spread all over my legs. I believe it was the cause of  the scratching.. I suffered from this  for more than two weeks. But then, the rashes bruised and of course it left some ugly marks.. I was worried and almost cried.. But my mom told me they will be gone in a few more months...

I'm still treating the marks now with WII-Scarslick, that costs me around 3K... In the commercial, they are claiming that the scars would be removed in two weeks time.. Hahaha.. NOT TRUE!! I've been using it for a month now... But yes, it is lightening the marks..

TAKE CARE OF YOUR SKIN LADIES.... and BE CAREFUL...

Summer Model Shoot `10

Day 1 - May 22, 2010
Call time was too early that I was not even able to put a little blush on my face. The road going to Bauan was very steep and we got lost a few times... But I enjoyed  it.... Yey, I love long drives...
MUA In Action - Dolling up my friend Jhoanna.
I submitted her photo to the photographer, and luckily she was chosen to work with us.

Done with Farah's makeup. Just waiting for the photographer to call her.
She's a model and a blogger. I told her that I have been reading her blog for weeks now
and she was astonished. I myself, was a little surprised, too. You know meeting her... :)

Gayve gracing the camera. My friend Mhel was the one who dolled her up.

Pack-up at sunset.. Beautiful.. Just beautiful.. :)

Group shot - Models Jho, Gayve, Farah, photographer Richard  and your truly of course.

Jho and I with Kuya Dondie, who was very nice and could laugh at my silliest jokes...

Day 2 - May 23, 2010
Call time was still very early, but Kuya Dondie was late to pick me up in Tagaytay.. So there I was able to put a little blush on my face while waiting for them.. Heheehe.. Do I really have to insert that and inform everyone that I am a blush on girl? Yay!***blush***

I was supposed to doll up two models that day but the other model cancelled it on the last minute according to Kuya Dondie.. He was blaming her why he was late to pick me up.  Anyways, I met Aya and she indeed blessed me that day. She's also a Christian, by the way and she was amazed how I knew that she was.

I'll tell you how - She was putting her contact lens on her eyes when it accidentally dropped on the beach sand. It was impossible to find it there. It was like finding a needle in the haystack. I asked one of the boys assisting us to help her find it. In just 10 seconds, the guy found it effortlessly. We were stunned. And Aya uttered, " Thank you Lord. I am so blessed..." So I asked her,. "You're a Christian?" She smiled at me, and she asked, "Yes, How did you know? "
And that was the start of our very meaningful conversation.

I guess if she was not a Believer, most probably she would say, "Oh thank you, I am so lucky... "
The words "bless, blessed, blessing" are kind of big deal to me...  :-)

The beautiful view... Was just so hot, though.... Very humid...

Behind the scene... It took us 20 minutes to get here... Yes, we had to walk..
I had to go with them for the retouching.... Oh, so tiring....

With some of the Anilao boys assisting us.. They were so nice to us and really played a big role..
I forgot to put sunblock lotion, so I was literally sunog na sunog..
Waves got higher the time we finished the shoot. I got scared, really...

A stolen shot of mine for Aya from my digi-cam..
Aya liked it... :)
